Erin Satterwhite’s passion has long been to drive positive change in health care. She’s been both a patient and a patient’s family member, and those experiences strengthened her calling to serve the underserved and create a more empathetic, effective patient experience.
Erin is continuing that mission as president and general manager of Optum® Frontier Therapies. She is responsible for driving overall performance and oversees pharmacy services, partnerships and growth strategies.
A product developer and innovator at heart, Erin previously led groups at Optum, Bayer, 3M and Blue Cross Blue Shield. In those roles, she helped bring new technologies and services to health care, both for consumer and professional end users.
Erin is an inventor on six patents and has authored multiple publications. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and master’s degree in biological science from the University of Minnesota.
She is a fan and supporter of Special Olympics, and is also on the board for Clal, a New York-based spiritual innovation think tank focused on “making Jewish a public good.”
